SISATA presents Othello – Open Air Theatre
July 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

OTHELLO
BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE – PRESENTED BY SISATA
Othello, Live Theatre in Pentridge, Dorset…
We are very pleased to announce the live performance of William Shakespeare’s Othello by SISATA Open Air Theatre Group right here in Pentridge!
We were lucky enough to host SISATA in Summer 2016 when they performed Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles on our Village Green. The performance was a massive hit and we were delighted when they agreed to return for 2017 with Othello!
Shakespeare’s Othello
Adapted and Directed by Charmaine K Parkin
Dorset born SISATA present Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’ in a bold, bright and brilliant explosion of a performance, giving you a feast for all your senses.
In a fast-paced telling of jealousy, love and ambition, four actors play multiple roles in this masterful debate on the human condition.
SISATA’s mission is to bring engaging and interactive performances of classic stories accessibly to modern audiences, highlighting the timeless issues that are presented.
Bursting with energy and sincerity, in true SISATA style, there will still be laughter and song to tie together this extraordinary play.

Where doe’s the money go?
This event is held to raise funds for Pentridge Village Hall.
Our Village Hall is a former school with an abundance of character. For the past few years, funds have been raised (including grants from the National Lottery and other sources) to enable the loving restoration and refurbishment of this historic building.
Recent works on the hall have included restorative structural work, a new oak floor, soft furnishings, a new kitchen and a disabled toilet. Fundraising has also enabled the purchase of new chairs and tables and a current outbuilding project for the purposes of storage.
The hall is now available to use as a community building and for private hire. Activities and events are run by volunteers and fundraising efforts are in place to enable continued renovation, upkeep and maintenance on the hall and adjoining school house.
